And we're off...

So this isn't going to be anything fancy, more of an outlet for all my friends and family to enjoy my travels vicariously. I'm wanting a few things out of this trip, mainly a renewal of self.  I named this blog refusing complacency because I could feel myself getting sucked into the tepid routine of work work work. Our God created this beautiful planet filled with astonishing people and I mean to take him literally when he says "Go out to all the nations..."  I will no longer be satisfied with an unfulfilled, monotonous routine. I will not be stifled by 40 hrs a week plus benefits. It stunts my creativity and jovial attitude. Satisfaction leads to stagnation. I hope to keep a roiling hunger for personal growth, and I hope I return renewed.

On a diff note, a few things I learned today:
-You DO need usda endorsed health certificate for dogs entering Mexico (contrary to what Alabama's branch tells you)
-Evidently, I just look American. I was handed everything in English on the plane.
-I have the most well behaved dog! 6 hours in a kennel, 3 of those being with us, but stuck inside while we used the internet; and not 1 bark! Oscar is the best!
-Mexico's bus system beats the pants off USA's.
-I'm taller than most people in this country, and from what my senses are telling me, I smell better than most too!
